Shakespeare’s Globe will be doing their summer regional tour again for their fourth consecutive year of the show. For this spring and summer, the Globe will perform their 2009 productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Comedy Of Errors during the months of April and September.
Shakespeare’s Globe carries on in the touring tradition of their Elizabethan forefathers by presenting productions on a booth stage, which was inspired from paintings and artwork from the Shakespeare era. This year, they will have two troupes of traveling actors that will visit multiple outdoor, open-air venues across the UK and Europe. Audiences to the Globe’s tours have grown for the past few years – reaching an estimated 35,000 people across UK and Europe in 2009 alone.
