The 21 year old country music artist, Taylor Swift, has not only impressed hundreds of young fans around the world with her amazing talent, but she has recently won the Ultimate Choice Award for the 2011 Teen Choice Awards. This award is a great accomplishment for the songstress since it is TCA’s most honorable recognition for her contribution to the music industry.
Justin Timberlake, Serena Williams, Britney Spears, and Reese Witherspoon are among a few of the celebrities who have received this prestigious award in the past. The 2011 Teen Choice Awards are set to take place on Sunday, August 7, 2011 and you can be watched live on the FOX channel.
Although it has already been publicly announced that this crooning star will obtain the 2011 Ultimate Choice Award, she will still have an opportunity to snatch up more than just one trophy in other categories. Apart from winning this top honor, she is also contending with other music artists in the Choice Music categories of Tour, Best Break Up Song, Best Country Track, Best Love Song, Female Country Artist, and Best Female Artist of the year. In this last category, she will be standing up against Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Adele, and Katy Perry.

However, the voting is only limited to young fans between the ages of 13 – 19 and you have until Friday, August 5th to submit your vote. The star of “The Big Bang Theory”, Kaley Cuoco, will be hosting the event this year. Performer will.i.am will serve as the evening’s house DJ, while Jason Derulo, Selena Gomez, and OneRepublic are set to perform.
Also, listed to make a star appearance on the show will be Justin Bieber, Cameron Diaz, Robert Pattinson, Avril Lavigne, The Kardashian Sisters, Rebecca Black, Kellan Lutz, Ashton Kutcher, and Nikki Reed among others.
