This is sad news for all Hannah Montana fans; however, the news is not surprising. Last Week, the Disney Channel had announced that they will be ending their hit comedy Hannah Montana, starring Miley Cyrus, in the spring of 2011. Surprisingly, they have already planned to start production of the final season on January 18th, but it has not been confirmed when the final episodes will be scheduled to appear.
Although this is sad news for fans, I believe it is probably the best move that the actress and singer Miley Cyrus, could be making for her career. Truthfully, as I watch the latest episodes, I see that she’s becoming less of the cute teenage girl and she is developing into a more mature acting persona. In other words, she’s moving from being the child star into a young adult.
So, while Disney just announced the ending of the teen sitcom, we got news about the sitcom’s third season finale which will air in March of this year. In this episode, Miley Stewart has to decide whether she wants to stay in Los Angeles or return to Tennessee which will be a huge issue in kicking off the final season of Hannah Montana.
Disney’s Hannah Montana continues to please fans and they receive high ratings every week. In 2009, this sitcom was Disney Channel’s No. 1 series in total viewers.
